I do love this series but it’s soooo inaccurate 😂
Falconry was used for hunting and pest control as birds of prey are known for being difficult to handle as well as being easily distracted by prey.
Pigeons were used as messenger birds precisely because they are boring docile birds and could be trained to return to a specific roost 💀

I love how they show things happening to her bird self in her human form,

And maybe I’m just a overly enthusiastic birder and it’s a stupid hang up, but despite her being called a merlin falcon only the head looks vaguely correct—I feel like the artist just glanced at a falcon/hawk reference photo and then proceeded to make up whatever they wanted 😮‍💨
