This explains why Zeze’s been overall more okay with Minami/Veronica than other evidence might suggest fine with him as well as why Minami has constantly been a little wary. Either way these were two of my favourite chapters, especially since their present selves get along so well and the fact that I’ve been waiting 10+ years. Honestly, I know it won’t happen because of the focus on present selves and relationships, but them ending up together after all this would be pretty satisfying—the whole present selves get along while in the past they had that whole contract marriage conspiracy plot murder thing that got them in this mess. Very romantic. At the very least, I can’t believe Minami didn’t blush at the “I adored Veronica” line.

But…wow, it feels like enough pieces are in place that the ball is finally starting to roll. That cliffhanger!!! Argh!!! Also rip Glen when Minami was like nope last chapter…still waiting for that revelation.

Wish there was an AU where things turn out differently or Veronica time travel instead of reincarnation. Veronica and Eugene would surely be a great couple if only they have more time together

I was thinking that Veronica really liked having Eugene. Not really because of any romantic interest, but because she finally had someone who could stand by her side, call her Veronica instead of Princess, someone who she wouldn’t be above in rankings, and someone she could help build a kingdom with, someone who would inform and help her.
It’s nice to know that whatever feelings Eugene had for her, they were good and kind ones. It was clear early on that he at least sympathized with her so I’m glad they finally had this talk and we could hear how he really felt.
