I don't get what she likes about him... I could get it if she felt nothing and just doing this to "win" the dumb cat game, but she seems to like him when he is absolute trash

At first I thought the prince was trash, and I still think he's trash. But it's undeniable that he's an incredibly sly and calculating piece of trash, and that's what makes this story so interesting and full of plot twists.

I can't wait to see his face after she escapes with the duke because let's face it, he's a good king but a manipulative lover. Right now he's treating her like a secret mistress which is unacceptable for a girl as good as joana. She needs to distance herself for him to make up his mind.

Just, the prince has been using everyone as pawns. He is royal. Every person is dispensable. As long as they have use, he will use them. He said "I can always win them back" really shows that he doesn't care what will happen to the princesses, as long as it gets the result he wants.
