I know this is supposed to be a very light fluffy rom-com, but Miyano is a very interesting - and complex - character if you look at him seriously.

First thing you'll notice then, is how ironic it is that a self-proclaimed 'BL fanboy' can be so hang up on these things when shit gets real. Contrast that with how Sasaki - despite being just your average Joe - takes it all in in stride, with no judgement, no issues. He just takes things as they are and carries on, despite the fact that before he's prolyl never considered being gay or reading that sort of material. And now neither his crush on Miyano, nor reading BL or even confronting others has any negative influence on him.

On the other hand, Miyano - I think - must have always been concious (at least on some level) that he has these sort of tendencies, but he is far more constrained by peer pressure and public opinion (of himself and others around him). IMO that's sort of the reason he picked up BL in the first place, albeit unconciously, to sort of have an outlet for these feelings, while remaining "safe" himself. Because he's JUST a BL fanboy, he would never want anything like that happen to him himself!

And so I think this is the crux of the issue and why Miyano admitting his feelings - even though we cna clearly see he's already in love with Sasaki at this moment - takes so much time. It's because he himself has to get over his own prejudice and misconceptions and fears before he will allow himself to admit that yes, he has feelings for a man.

This reminds me of when I was secretly reading bl smut on the school bus and a male classmate was reading over my shoulder the whole time.

Sasaki and Miyano are so cute together, but I have to say I love how supportive and normal everyone is about their relationship. No drama or toxic stuff, they actually treat them as you know an ordinary couple and they are one of course but sadly the whole world is still not open about all these kinds of love yet that look and flow so naturally. So reading this manga gives me a lot of happiness and hope, that there will be a time everything will be like this manga, where a couple made by two men or two women or trans/nonbinary people are treated with as much respect and love by everyone as they treat one of a man and a woman.

Mama Miyano took that so well!!! That was one of the cutest scenes! I'm so happy & a little jealous that Miyano has such a wonderful mother... I hope Sasaki can be honest & receive support too!
