edit: i’m seeing a lot of disagreement with my opinion, and i’m sorry if this is harsh but all i want to say is if it really is the mother’s choice, then i hope she won’t be selfish and choose the baby over herself just because she can’t bear the pain of losing it. why would you put your child through life without ever knowing their own mother? growing up motherless, never feeling a mother’s love, the person who should be closest to them in the whole world? why would any mother do that to their own child? there’s always a chance for another baby, but there’s never a chance of bringing a mother back from the dead.

and this isn’t just about chloe or the story. i’m talking in general. in the future, if i’m giving birth and there’s only a chance for either me or my child to survive, i will choose myself over my child. i don’t want to be dead and at peace in heaven (hopefully) while knowing my child is in the world crying for their mother’s warmth

Between saving the mother or the child, I would want them to save the mother. Call me selfish but even if I was the mother I would want them to save me. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I resent him and i know he is horrible but I'm at his side.
The point is that if the mother dies in the early stages of pregnancy, the child cannot even be born. So it makes sense that he takes care of her wife first.

Dying for the sake of her child or husband was probably the most honorable way for a woman to die during that period. Considering how much value Chloe places in family, honor and duty, even above her own life, her husband is about to trample on her values in favor of his own obsession over her. He should be aware that he's choosing to possess her at the expense of her mental well-being because clearly she'd suffer tremendously even if she survives.

I knew a little of his feeling. Once I was in chloe's position, my husband also chose me over our unborn child inside my womb🥺 he said he couldn't lose me and felt sorry to our unborn child😭he couldn't imagine if he directly lost both (between wife and child), so he chose his wife😭

Honest question if there are any moms here: would you really rather keep your baby (when you're pregnant) and die, leaving a depressed husband taking care of the baby alone? I'm a woman myself, and I feel like I personally can't bear doing that. Especially when in this case if Chloe dies, there will be no baby anyway. I get Chloe will be in ruin when she knows this, but wth a husband supposed to do...? Even (cmiiw) medically speaking, doctors will always prioritize the mom....

I'm not supporting him but I somehow understand all of his actions in the weirdest way possible & I can actually justify them even though they are mostly evil & selfish cause but he's not written solely to glorify the FL as a hero so this is actually pretty enjoyable to me.... He's evil but his character has a lot of depth & strong...& He's the most enjoyable character in this manhwa (in my opinion)...👏👏
