It's always a dark skinned ml and never a fl I wish there was manhwas with dark skinned fls for once
Yess it's official! It was getting scanlated here y'all lucky my ass wanted to upload this and I have negative 2 experience
The premise is really interesting 🤧 with the mother being the one that regressed instead of the FL — her daughter. The plot is mostly fluff but the times it gets serious you can really feel the character's emotions
The mom is a very flawed character I'll give her that, but tbh I much prefer a story where Lyrica (lilyca) is happy and the mom makes up for her past mistakes.
The art really reflects the fact that it is from a child's pov as it is often filled with rainbow like panels that make my eyes bleed from beauty. 🥹
The emperor is hot, that's all I need to know 😂 the prince — emperor's nephew — is also an interesting character imo I love seeing him slowly open up to his uncle, Lydia — I think that was her name? Lyrica's mom — and Lyrica.

FINALLY LICENSED RAHHH. Bored Corona Kids were handling the translation and reached ch 28 (you can find it here).
Art is beyond stunning it's SO BEAUTIFUL. it also fits the story very very well and plays an essential role in the story telling. I really like how this remains pretty much grounded within Lyrica's perspective, so everything always seems brighter and more wonderous.
The plot is very well done, and is also pretty realistic in terms of everyone's behavior. All the characters have their own flaws and strengths and it's nice to see that put into play when forming their own relationships.
Although I do wish they acknowledged the impact of the mother's neglect onto Lyrica, I really like how the mother did not become perfect all of a sudden, and that Lyrica still actually does not yet trust her.
Overall, excellently done. There is literally no other criticism i can think of I love this sm.

Regression story but instead of the FL regressing, it's her mother who does. Lyrica is adorable and I love her innocent nature, it isn't overdone or annoying like in other manhwas (mostly bec she truly is a child and not some adult in a child's body). The emperor and mother's relationship is subtly shown (again, bec it's seen from FL's perspective) but you can see the good sexual tension between them. Art is divine but also had some moments when I felt like it was overdone, but again, it's beautiful so I don't really mind.
it's giving Sofia the first and I'm eating it up

There are some things I want to put out before my review:
- The original novel.
Yes, the original novel is basically a cutesy Mary Sue story about how cute and genius our MC is and her mom is trash, and everything is forgiven because MC loves her, and everyone loves MC. There is some intrigue and some drama involved, but overall the original received pretty poor reviews. - Why the artist chose this story.
So, the artist Choo Hye-Yeon has an instagram account, and there, they shared long time ago how they suffered from depression and even thought of s****de. Their first work, the Pale Horse, is a very, VERY dark and depressing, gory and disturbing story, and the artist took many, MANY breaks to finish it. They said that, at the time, it felt right to draw it, but as time went on, they wanted to change that. So, after Pale Horse finally ended, they took a long break. I mean a several years long break. Next time they showed up online, they shared they want to work on something cute and light-hearted. I guess this story is exactly what they needed. Just a simple, fun, cute story about a young MC. - The story isn't actually that bad.
So, for starters, the whole story is from our (now) 8yo MC's perspective. Sure, she is naive, and gullible, and a ditz, and somewhat an airhead, but it's okay because she is still so young. The art style depicts this perfectly with colorful panels and cutesy backgrounds. On the other hand, MC has been betrayed so many times that it's basically a miracle she still believes in others. I think that is her biggest strength. We do find out that she has an amazing gut feeling when it comes to bad people and danger, which makes her trust in others even more plausible. MC doesn't know much about the world, about culture, about social status, etc. but she knows human emotion/nature very well. She doubts her mother, but she also loves her, because to her she is the only family she had. Her mother is a complex character, she has been abusive, both to herself (alcoholism) and to her daughter (physical/emotional abuse, neglect), but we do see she regrets the things she's done in the past. I would say, the mother is lucky that MC is so young and loves her, so she forgives her easily. - The manhwa adaptation.
I believe Choo Hye-Yeon is making the adaptation much better than the original. As I mentioned, the novel didn't receive much praise because it's just... plain and cliché. But the artist knows how to draw out emotion from simple things, they know how to make even a simple interaction meaningful. That's why I think we should just enjoy this manhwa as is, art and all, and not think too much about it.
Review:
I personally love this manhwa so much, and the ratings speak for themselves. I think, as many others too, that manhwa far surpassed the novel, both in the way it depicts scenes and emotions, but also because it brought way more depth to the characters and their relationships.
It's a beautiful story that tries to deliver fluff and cuteness at first, but also shines light onto complicated, sometimes toxic human relations.
Trust the reviews and give this a go. 👍✨

OH! It's official! So soon? Didn't except them to be this fast! And they didn't change the title this much! If the art feels familiar, it's because it's the same artist as The Pale Horse! It's gorgeous!!
Anyway, I'm currently reading BCK's translation, and I really like it!
Basically, it's a mother who remembered her past life, and all the bad things she has done before and now. She wasn't a good mother, and it's the first thing she will fix.
She then will go to a ball, talk to the king and make a contract marriage because she has some knowledge from the past.
The regressor here, is the mother, and not the FL, who's her little daughter.
The FL is very very very cute! She's a child who suddenly became a princess, so she really wants to be good in her new role! (in the comments section of the unofficial translation, you can find some us singing Princess Sofia theme song)
Everyone in the palace is dying over her cuteness, the king and his aids really like her!!
I really like what I've read and I'm so happy that more people will be able to discover this!

Because I've seen some comments in the unofficial translation, I want to say something: you can't hate the mother because she wasn't a good mother at all before she regressed, while you're okay with all the Villainess FL who harassed, sometimes killed people, because they're aren't the same anymore.
It's the exact same situation. The mother isn't a bad person at all, the first thing she did when she regressed was to take care of Lily!
HUGE TW: The first chapters deals with alot of child abuse and neglect which is severely glossed over in terms of the plot. FLs mom has undoubtely alot of issues (in her past life) and this might be a dealbreaker for some readers.
We've gotten an official serialization of the story!! The art is stunning, with vivid colours and characters with a variety of personalities.
FL is Lyrica, and we see everything from her point of view as a quite young child, instead of the story being centered around her mom isekai:ng. It deals with alot of themes that has to do with family, which is something FL very much wants. She has a really brave, honest and mostly positive way of thinking which elevates the story alot.

I dont really know where the story will eventually lead, but so far i've really liked it!
I’m really happy it’s gotten an official license‼️😆
Honestly, the premise of this manhwa is quite interesting to me because it essentially has the aspects of your usual “ turning back time after death & becoming a better person because I was horrible to the ones around me ” story except it’s not from the perspective of the regressor. It’s from the perspective of the the regressor’s young daughter to whom her mother just suddenly seem to change one day
Lyrica is an adorable MC & I like the way the story protrays her POV. [Both visually (through how the art portrays things like her imagination), & narratively (through her view on things)]
I’ve been wanting to read a story from an outside perspective when it comes to the regressor’s change in attitude after turning back time. Also, this story has aspects of childcare and I love childcare series so that’s a plus for me too 🤧🤧
The art is absolute eye candy. I’m a big fan of choo hyeyeon‘s artworks & how they use it in the storytelling of their works ❤️❤️
